The definition of qualified is one officially recognized as being trained to perform a particular job or one certified to do the job.
Synonyms are to be eligible for, meet requirements, be entitled, or be permitted.
For many, just after graduation from college, they begin a journey with a degree to follow their dream occupation in life. The excitement of sending out resumes and getting job interviews was exciting until the responses coming were not hopeful. Even though the qualification were stellar, many places were looking for experience to go along with the knowledge gained through education and passing the exams to earn a degree. Such is the system of corporate business.
Being qualified for the Kingdom of God works differently. While many seek education for ministry through a school of divinity where the focus is primarily for ordination for full time ministry, every believer is called to minister. As a verb “to minster” means to attend to the needs of someone.
The synonyms mentioned above include eligible for and be permitted. When we come into a relationship with God, the Holy Spirit who indwells us begins His work of transforming us. Under His Wisdom and guidance, we are changed into the likeness of Christ. We then begin to live from a higher life source. It is in living from the new life in Christ that we are qualified and given the privilege of ministering to others.
While there are many resources that teach on how the gifts of the Spirit operate, they should be by the workings of the Holy Spirit operating through us. That is how the Father is glorified. When we yield ourselves with no thought of being recognized, the anointing is released through us and He ministers exactly what is needed.
I once read that God can accomplish in 30 seconds what we try to accomplish in an hour or more in ministry. The secret Jesus used was
“I tell you, the Son can do nothing by Himself, He can do only what He sees His Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. John 5:19 NIV
“I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me to say all that I have spoken.” John 12:49 NIV
When we are led by the Spirit, we find ourselves living from the highest life that indwells us and perhaps Jesus words that said we would do even greater works than He did will manifest. We are qualified only because He lives in us and through us.
